According to T-Mobile’s press release on January 20th, the Galaxy S 4G will be the fastest smartphone running on America’s Largest 4G Network™. T-Mobile claims that the Galaxy S 4G will be the first smartphone that is capable of delivering theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21 Mbps. The Android flavor of choice will be 2.2 (froyo), which is just one step up from the phones predecessor, the Vibrant. This is a very touchy subject for current Vibrant owners, and if this subject interests you read what one of our Gals’ said who currently owns a Vibrant. Untill this phone is released and we can actually test out the speeds for our self’s, here is a quote straight from T-mobile. More information on the Galaxy S 4G from T-Mobile will be available in the coming weeks.
“With Galaxy S 4G, T-Mobile will deliver its fastest smartphone yet on America’s largest 4G network, providing rich entertainment virtually whenever and wherever consumers want,” said Cole Brodman, chief marketing officer, T-Mobile USA. “And with 4G data plans from $10 per month, we’re making blazing-fast 4G speeds and super smartphone experiences easily accessible to the millions who crave them.”
