Why I Use Smarter Alarm Everyday

First off, let me start out with this one thing, I totally love this application!  I’ve tried several alarm clock programs on my phone. I haven’t been able to find one that has worked as well as Smarter Alarm. It just works so flawlessly and consistently.  I have used this alarm app every morning for the past month, and I can’t live without it. I have to admit that I don’t hit snooze as often as I used to. This is mainly due to because this thing keeps talking to me.  It won’t let me over sleep! Anyways, most alarms either have just music alone or mixed with a voice telling you to get up. This alarm app goes the extra step with a voice  that greets you by name and tells you the time and date. It reads whatever news you want, and even tells you the weather forecast.

This application will also read anything that you have your calender that is set to for the current day. It also can tell you if it is any of your Facebook friends’ birthday. Some additional perks are that you can enable your RSS feeds and even listen to stock. It recently got updated and now has a visual voice. This means that you can now see a squiggly line as it speaks, and you are able to set the customize the color for that. It also will  give you the option to play a regular alarm before it speaks, and let you set the tone and length of that alarm.  If you don’t like care for the voice that it comes with, you can always download a different one. This comes for a price, and you can find them in the Android market. However, the version of Smarter Alarm that I am using, is free and you can find it in the market. The developers name is Edward Kim, so make sure you rate his applications! There is a paid version of this app going for $3.99, check out the market page for added features.
