Woke up to find to learn of a new fitness gadget coming to talk to our Sprint phones. This Bluetooth device will be able to talk to our devices through an Android app. Here is a little blurb from an email.

Helping consumers lose weight and get fit – and see their results straight on their Android – BodyMedia and Sprint are joining forces to help users track their calories in, calories out and sleep quality through the BodyMedia FIT Armband BW and a special Sprint ID application pack!

With the BodyMedia FIT Armband BW, an on-body monitoring system featuring four unique sensors that track thousands and thousands of variables and output results like calorie burn, sleep duration and steps taken, Bluetooth technology allows users to send their results straight to a BodyMedia ID pack on Android phones. But instead of just offering graphs and numbers to identify progress, this bundle of apps uses interactive icons to keep engagement – and motivation – high. For example, as a user slowly starts his day, he’ll be greeted with a picture of a lethargic sloth. Start moving and – as the BodyMedia armband sends calorie burn data straight to the app – the motionless sloth transforms in to a turtle. As calorie burn continues, animals continue to morph into more energetic brethren until the user reaches the calorie burning king of animals – the hummingbird.

I’m excited to hear that this awesome device is going to be chatting with our Android phones and Sprint is involved with it! No more trying to log or write things down in my note pad. My working out and overall health is about to get that much better. I will get some more hands on tonight at ShowStoppers, look for more info to come!

I also love me some football and hanging out with Mr. Webster whenever possible. OH and I can't forget my little girl Sassy, she may have 4 legs but she loves her mommy!
