Win a Ticket to Lookout’s Google IO Celebration!

We received a wonderful email last night inviting our readers to what sounds like an awesome event! This is coming straight from our friend’s at Lookout Mobile Security about their party on May 9 2011:

In two weeks, thousands of developers are coming to San Francisco to attend Google IO, and to celebrate Lookout Mobile Security is throwing a party at an iconic  San Francisco art gallery (location can’t be disclosed at this time J).  Lookout’s favorite local  SF microbrews will be on tap(Big Daddy IPA, Anchor Steam,21st Amendment IPA) and San Francisco’s food truck, “Le Truc,”will be serving their famous pulled pork tacos.

If you’re planning on attending Google I/O, this will be the party to be at!  Lookout gave us the opportunity to give away some tickets (each guest gets a plus one) to our AndroidGal readers! To reserve your spot and meet members of the Lookout team, email [email protected]. You’ll need to let us know the reason you are an Android Enthusiast! If you are selected, a invitation for you plus one guest will be sent to your e-mail! Good luck and let your friends know, we have quite a few tickets to give away!

Stacie is the Associate Editor of AndroidGals and lives in Wichita KS with her geeky AndroidGuy Drew and their three puppies. She loves modding her Android devices and is a huge fan of CyanogenMod. She is involved in quite a few Android related projects including helping out with the Big Android BBQ, and any Android fun that comes her way.     I’m planning on attending and I would love to bring a friend along so we can discuss all the upcoming excitement. I’ve had a Nexus One for as long as I can remember and I would love to see what Google does next for Tablets.

    I really hope that more people will invest in Android. It’s strange ‘affordable’ Android phones are by the masses but that price difference is scaring Devs away. For godsakes, these new tablets are more expensive than the more polished Apple Ipad (which also has a larger app market) Tablets and smartphones are all about the apps, so please convince the manufacturers to lower their prices a bit. So there is more reason to invest.

    In other news, I’d love to see the new development in ALL areas.

    I am faithful to 2 things: my android, and my facebook account. That is why I installed Lookout Security on it. And as luck would have it, it got stolen last night and they are on it!! Using their “Locate and Disable” features. I am so grateful I downloaded it now! So, we’ll see if I get to come to the party with my phone or not?

    I am an android guy because it will be my life.. I am going through multiple years of school for it. Along with I have had the G1 since about a month after it was released and only got a new phone because the nexus one was released. I am a college student that is struggling to get through school to further the android cause..
