Barnes & Noble has announced earlier this week a brand new touch reader. This is an addition to the nook line up and is just being called The All-New NOOK. Its has an E-ink(R) Pearl display, and runs Android 2.1. It is WI-FI capable and has the best battery life the NOOK line up has seen. It can last as long as two months on a single charge! The NOOK has a new design with being ultra-light and thin, but still has it’s simplified one “n” button. Here is some more info from Barnes and Noble.

New York, New York – May 24, 2011 – Barnes & Noble, Inc. Barnes & Noble adds the All-New NOOK, a significant leap forward in the dedicated eReader category, to a product line that includes the bestselling NOOK Color™, the only Reader’s Tablet™. Based on the success of the NOOK product line, combined with focus on the absolute best reading experience, Barnes & Noble now claims more than 25 percent of the digital book market – just 18 months after launching NOOK 1st Edition™.
I think the best point about this new version of Nook would be it its price point at $139 which makes it affordable to the masses. I also like all the new ereaders coming out. This new NOOK is in direct competition with the Amazon Kindle wifi only version which is also priced at $139. As well as the new Kobo Touch Screen that was announced earlier this week.
What do you think about the new Nook? Do you like it and plan on buying it?
