Extreme couponing is not only an art form; with the downturn of the economy, its a necessity. There are several apps available for Android but the most useful, in my opinion, is Grocery Smart.

Once you create a new grocery list within the app, it will ask you what state you are in. Then it will ask you where you frequently shop at. It will upload a shopping list for you showing the cost of the item in that store. and how much you’ll save based on available coupons. It tells you that particular store’s coupon policy and it prompts you to email yourself the coupons to print from your pc. Genius!

It could be a better app if it provided us with the ability to open the coupon and scan it right from the phone. The key to extreme couponing is the list and of course the coupons…this app helps organize both tools and gives you the edge on your savings.
