Target, as a store, is incredible so it doesn’t come as a surprise to me that their Android app follows suit. The free application provides access to the weekly ads, seasonal savings, coupons, and more.
As soon as you open the app, you’re directed to a featured screen and then on to season deals, this week’s circular, and “savings on-the-go. I love this last feature as it provides coupons via text messaging. The best part about this is that you get coupon notifications even if you’re not in running the Target app at that particular time.
The coupons simply show up in a ready-to-present fashion. No printing out, no wasting papers. Simply hand your phone to the cashier and he/she will scan your phone for savings.
Now lets talk about that weekly ad! Gone are the days of walking in the store and looking for a copy of the flyer or looking at that big board by customer service. Why? Because it’s all right there, on your amazing Android phone. And it’s always up-to-date! Sometimes, I like to preview the ad on my way to the store (while my husband drives) or look through it in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep. Even if I don’t plan on going to the store anytime soon, I am still sure to check out the ad. You never know when some impulse might strike.
Another terrific reason to check the ads is to see what might have gone on sale in the days following. Thanks to Target’s policies, the Android app has helped me to save money. Just this week I saved $2.00 on each of my notebooks for back-to-school; I saw them on sale and took the receipt in.
The app also lets users browse through Target.com and or scan common items to see if they are offered at Target. I recently used this feature when I was shopping for a shower curtain. The store I was at only had one, stained version of the curtain I liked. Out came the app, and a quick scan later, I knew the store across town had one in stock. I also had peace of mind knowing I could purchase these directly through the app as well.
As you are getting ready to purchase back-to-school clothes and supplies, the Target app can be a big asset. There is currently a special section devoted strictly to getting all you need to be ready for school. Last minute shoppers will enjoy being able to handpick items and find out which location has your products in stock. Save time, money, and gas!
The official Target application runs on any Android device with 1.5 or higher and can be downloaded at no cost. I’d love to hear your take on the app and how it benefits you. Please, leave a comment below!
