Walgreens App puts a Pharmacy in your Pocket

Walgreens is my favorite go-to drug store. They have everything I need, all in one convenient spot. I am so excited to hear that they have released an Android app.

The app gives users a variety of options, like browsing the weekly circular, finding locations, and ordering photos. What’s more, one can also refill prescriptions through the pharmacy and get some online shopping done. Really, what else could you ask for? I can’t think of a better companion to help me gear up for the new school season. The Walgreens app also allows you to make detailed shopping lists, which is a great way to stay organized and on track.

Another great feature is the ability to search for walk-in clinics in your area that offer medical services and flu shot vaccines. This is an excellent way to get better and stay healthy.

With so many things to get before school starts, I encourage you to take a few minutes and download the Walgreens App from the Market. It’s free, and I’m sure it will help you stay organized and focused. So has anyone tried the app yet? What do you think? Leave a comment below!

I haven’t used the app yet…but…what they are doing with it, I think represents the approach other retailers need to take in developing apps. Most are just a copy of their web site…some have a coupon (that has to be printed! Annoying!). This app actually makes your tasks easier. (Filling prescriptions from my phone? yes please!)
