A musician recently shared his music with me on www.soundcloud.com. I listened to it online and loved it. So I began looking for a way to share some of my favorite tracks with a few people.
After a quick look at the Android Market, I found the SoundCloud Android app, and got it running flawlessly on my Android smartphone.
The official SoundCloud app enables you to record, listen and share your sounds. It offers free accounts to amateur creators, with an option to upgrade to premium accounts for advanced features like statistics, controlled distribution, and custom branding. It even provides you with the API, and there are currently around 200 apps tapping into SoundCloud.
