Have you ever dreamed about being a reporter? Reporting either the daily news, or talking about the weather. Maybe reporting all the local events and showcasing new restaurants. Well now you can. Meporter is a future reporter’s best friend! Or even if that isn’t your cup of tea, you can always read the “news”.
Ok here’s the scoop on what Meporter is and does. You download it and open the app up. You will find a main menu that consists of Map, Newswire, Post, Friends and Profile. After registering for this you will be able to check out the map. This will show you all the News that is happening around the U.S. that other Meporter’s have wrote. You can check out the “Newswire” which is basically a list of the “News”that is happening closest to you. The “Post” is of course where you post a story. You can search for your friends through Facebook, phonebook or Twitter.
After or before you write your story, there are things you need to do. Such as, select a category, pick your location and decide whether to share with Facebook and Twitter. Hmm, no Google+ button, yet….Maybe one in the upcoming future? You can also upload a picture or video to let people see what you are seeing! Anyways, it will be up to you to decide what you want to report on.
If you’re in traffic and it’s back up for miles. Report it so maybe others can avoid it. If you walk into a restaurant that you found to be wonderful, let others know! Any events happening in your area? Report it! Like I said, it’s all up to you. The more people report, the better for everyone!
Check it out in the Android Market, it’s amazingly free! How cool is it that you can be a Meporter?!
