Monday night is a big DVR night for me with three of my favorite shows being aired. Unfortunately, due to baseball, two of them didn’t get recorded. But as I type this, they are downloading to my SD Card thanks to Droid TV PrimeTime by PVRCom, LLC.
Droid TV offers programming from ABC, ABC Family, CBS, Fox, NBC, Syfy and USA. These shows are available to watch not by streaming video, but by downloading to your SD Card. This means no matter where you are, you can watch the newest episode of your favorite shows. Now it doesn’t matter what happens with cable, or if you have a poor cell single. The episodes are recorded from the Internet to a personal DVR server and then uploaded to your phone. This is usually done the following day after they are shown.
I have had a few times where the episodes did not download, so it’s not perfect. Reloading it has worked just fine. When you first download the app, you will have to download one episode before you can start recording seasons.
Please note that this app does has requirements to run, see the screenshot below for more details. Droid TV PrimeTime is available on the Android Market for $8.99 for a six month subscription.
Do you use this app and love it as much as I do? Let us know in the comments below.
