I remember getting a Simon, the big, round game that had you follow and repeat a combination of lights and sounds, in my youth. It was one of my favorites, and I used to play it until the batteries died! Now it’s available on your Android with Classic Simon from Mobikats Ltd.

Classic Simon has the classic four-color mode that was made famous by the original game.  Also, there’s a new mode called “Super Mode,” that has nine colors to follow. Both modes have easy, medium, and hard levels. There is also access to ScoreLoop so you can share your high score with others. The only issue I had with gameplay is that the sound could have been a bit louder.

This is a good games for kids, except for the ads. Most of them are for “adult” services, as you can see in the screenshots. There’s a paid version available that gets rid of the ads, but I really feel that $4.99 is a bit high for such a simple game.

Nevertheless, Classic Simon is still fun to play, and I encourage you to at least try the free version. You can download it from the Market by using the box after the break.
